Dancing in the Rain

As Rumi Says,
I am not from the East or the West,
Tonight I say,
I am a pebble in the drizzling rain,
I am the East and the West,
travelling through time, not alone
Each moment rising and disappearing,
I am here in the city of lights,
With a dancing heart, in love with You.
Who am I, You say?
I ask the mirror, each day,
As the fog appears from deep somewhere,
A longing pulls down the curtains
On my eyes, and I forget
like a mist on the pommegrate trees,
Again, and again why the voice is silent?
I disappear.
I look for a smile on the streets
Around the world to find You there,
But dancing shadows take away
People's dreams,
And here You are in Istanbul with all your glory
Your beauty,Your mercy,
Standing in rainy day by the sea
Still keeping smiles alive
On the windowshops of the shopkeepers,
For travelers lost and travelers found,
You go on and on whishspering, here I am
As I dance again blending with a Darvish
I want to rise into your arms
Beloved,
Your light that keeps my face smiling,
One more time,ignites my fire
I pray you keep my heart diving
Into Your music of love?
Perhaps your hidden light in a lonely rose
Will guide me tomorrow to see Your face,
Or the seaguls flying over the trees,
Will tell you how much I long
To dance with You each dawn,
And when the call for prayer turns into a symphony
I as a drop of water dive into your ocean of Love,
Dancing for you now and forever into eternity.

The Journey to somewhere happens when you say YES.

Here we are in Istanbul finally the three of us: Lilyane, Eileen and me looking for something we have not known about ourself. The good days ahead in the city of lights.
It all started like in a dream. My friend Abha asked me to join a workshop in Sidbari, Dahramsala, meet some old friends and share the skills of women's empowerment with Indian women.
I said yes, right away because the sound of my heart said yes. Eileen said, "Ah, how much I would love to go too, "so she said yes; and Lilyane tossed and turned for 24 hours and said yes.
Now, why did we say yes?
Here we were three of us, having no money to spend on such a great trip: Istanbul and India, yet we surrendered to the voice of our heart.
When one does that, one is open to surrender. What did we expect to find out on this trip?
Did we really think that this trip will change our lives?
Well, planning for the trip worked out so easily almost to perfection. The Turkish Airlines carried us into our dreams. The three of us spend many hours talking about our mothers. Our mothers from whom we have inherited life, and most of the characteristics of our personality. Our mothers whom we have rebeled against, and didn't want to become like them, our mothers whom we didn't think they had a life we wanted....We begun our journey remembering how great our mothers were. Hey, they lived their life victoriously in the times that didn't really allow women to feel and be empowered. They raised us, they provided for us, and became a role model for our future. But in the search of our own voice, we had forgotten about our mothers.
The journey of the heart began with the inner voices of our own dreams....
"Hey we are in Istanbul..." Hours of wandering in the streets of Istanbul filled with colors, flowers, music, people who also carried and shared their dreams with each other, and food, ah that delicious food for the mind, soul and body...who can resist...
We wandered the streets and looking for something, something that in our society has long stopped to exist, a community, a society where people walk in the streets, listen to the music, drink coffee and talk, a community of people who are not afraid to stand next to each other, to stop for a prayer, to share a smile...
The longing of my heart started to rise and became mixed with the rain drops that fell unexpectedly....What am I looking for in this magic trip Istanbul-India? What kind of awakening of my heart I am hoping to find?
What kind of awareness about my life is waiting for me there?
I started to dance right in front of a shop of two women who sold women's clothes...Ah, I just wanted to dance in the rain, with my best friends, dreaming, about my soul's liberation into a freedom and HOPE....
So the first day of the journey welcomed us just because we said YES.
YES into abundance and prosperity, yes to LOVE and just being in the present moment. YES, to everything that is and has been beautiful in this planet created by the divine.
As the drum beats are continuing into the celebration of the night, my heart is yearning for dance.
Say Yes and begin your journey now.

SURRENDER

Every time I think I have surrendered, I find myself again and again unable to understand the meaning of the word.
What does it really mean to surrender?
How many layers we have to peel off to know if we are capable of surrender.
I think I do, but each day I am surprised to find out that my surrender is only a wishful thinking.
So will this trip really help me surrender?
Do you struggle with surrender like I do?

Prosperity Candle: Global Women Thrive

When we think about change, we often feel uneasy and often think that change could mean something unknown, something that it might make us feel uncomfortable. However, change is the only guaranteed thing in our life and it comes always in an unexpected ways.
So let me tell you a story about people who are the change and continue to bring an amazing change
in their lives, communities, societies and the world.
Yesterday, I was thinking about my friend Lilyanne, and suddenly I dialed the phone to hear her voice.
The minute I spoke to her she told me that she was talking that minute about me to her friend Amber Chand, and so she puts Amber on the phone to introduce her to me. Amber asked me if I would be in NYC in the evening and if I knew a woman named Kayla. I jumped. Kayla! She is one of my best friends I said. Amber then thought that this was a divine moment of connecting people in the right time.
I went to Kayla's house last night to meet Amber and participate in the promotion of PROSPERITY CANDLE PROJECT.
There in my friend's  apartment in the midst of noisy NYC, the room was filled with wonderful people whose hearts wanted to bring change to the world. This change was introduced by a candle that was lit by Kayla, and a prayer for success in life.
Prosperity Candle is an extraordinary opportunity to help empower women entrepreneurs in places like Haiti, Iraq, Rwanda, Afghanistan, Kosovo etc...
Can you imagine one candle not only brings light to the places where there is darkness, but becomes a tool for prosperity and survival of families.
One candle, a pair of hands, many women, many hands  that turn around wishes, prayers, hopes to spread the message of peace.
Prosperity Candle was launched in September 2008, and has successfully completed a year long pilot program in Iraq in partnership with Women for Women International. They have provided 44 women entrepreneurs in Baghdad with opportunity to create a candle.
Each candle is a reflection of the resilience and courage of women who have survived inconceivable hardship and seek to create a better future for themselves, their families and communities.
Here we were, standing and talking with each other. A little flicker of light that was made by a woman in Iraq filled the room with spirit of HOPE. She was there among us reflecting in each other's eyes a question who we were, how do we want to make this world a better place.
Suddenly everyone was excited, imagine if each one of us buys a candle, how many children will eat a meal because that one candle becomes a bridge of crossing from darkness to light.
So now that we are here in the bountiful country with so many priviledges just before holidays, we have an opportunity to be a part of this flicker of light of HOPE.
So be the change and reach out...check http://www.prosperitycandle.com/ and buy a gift for your loved ones, bring that light in your home and the homes of your family and friends. By bringing a gift open the light to the world and make a change.
There is also  current campaign on IndieGoGo to pre-sell candles as a component of financing strategy for this company, so please  spread the word about this campaign!
Please share the link below:

So don't hesistate reach out, you will be glad you did.
The light sent out will be back into your life in ten folds.
Act now and be the change.

Rise and Shine

Today is my first day of entering into the dimension of abundance,
prosperity, englightment, happiness and joy. Today I surrender. I begin
my life into unknown surrendering to the divine power and love, letting
the journey guide me into the future.

A prayer for Success in Life
Graious God, you have created me
for a unique and special purpose.
By your holy design, I have a sacred
reason for being here, a personal mission
to accomplish, a divine plan to carry out
in the years I am given.
Help me to appreciate the talents and
abilities You have granted me, and lead me
to use them to complete my life-tasks.

Give me courage to realize my dreams,
the energy to fulfill my goals, and the desire
to be Your instrument of inspiration and
love for other on my journey to success.

Fill me with the grace and strength to
bend my will to Yours in all I say and do.
Let my greatest success in life be
to make the world a better place,
because I have been here and to
leave behind a legacy of love.
Amen.
